The new Sarna & Associates, LLC was formed with the merger of Sarna & Associates, LLC, and Fogec Consultants Inc. in 2007. The two principals, Ed Sarna and Tom Fogec, have more than 30 years combined experience in Executive Search. This new company is able to leverage their respective expertise, contacts, and recruiting/researching staffs to offer unsurpassed Retained Search Services as well as Unbundled Services (see our Hourly Contract Services tab for examples).

Our Retained Search Services offer a proven track record of producing results for our clients.  Our mission is to identify and attract the best candidates for our client companies.  We target successful individuals from competitors and organizations that closely align with the client company.  These are individuals who typically are not perusing want ads or searching job postings on the internet.

Our Retained Search process is comprised of three steps:

Step 1.  Initial Consultation

In this step we meet with the client company and its' senior management team to learn about the requirements of the position, as well as the culture of the organization.  We will then create our "Position Specifications" document, which is submitted for review and revision to the client.  With final approval of this document, which becomes our recruiting guide, we move on to the second step.

Step 2.  Research & Recruiting

In this step we develop a comprehensive list of target companies, and from this list identify and contact potential candidates.  Through this extensive process of cold-calling, we will contact anywhere from 100 to 1,000 or more individuals.  As interested and qualified candidates are discovered, we move on to the third step.

Step 3.  Assessment & Presentation

In this step the Consultant conducts an in-depth interview with the potential candidate, focusing not only on the technical abilities and experience of the candidate, but also on how well the individual will fit into the culture of the client company.  A confidential "Candidate Evaluation" will be forwarded to the client for each qualified candidate, addressing strengths and weaknesses per the "Position Specifications".  We also conduct reference checks, verify degrees and assist in final negotiations.

Typically, we present three to five qualified candidates, but this may vary depending on the complexity of the search and available pool of talent.  We will continue to recruit and interview until the final offer is accepted.  In addition, we guarantee that if the candidate leaves for any reason, within "1 year and 1 day" of employment, we will replace that candidate for no additional cost, with the exception of reimbursement of expenses.
